YIN YANG by Quirkilicious
definitely Ulquiorra and Orihime from the anime ‘Bleach’. He’s a villain but one could also consider him a ‘monster’ since he’s artificially made by a bad person for bad purposes. Orihime and Ulquiorra’s relationship reminds me largely of Reylo due to a similar interrogation scene, an emotional hand reaching scene, and overall conversations that resemble Reylo’s dynamic.
At the very end of the series, it is implied in poems and overall subtext that the author wrote that Ulquiorra and Orihime had this type of connection/bond/friendship blooming, and Ulquiorra was in love with her by the end. (It’s sometimes a controversial topic, but that’s what I believe and is fairly obvious if you look into it)
Unfortunately Ulquiorra died while they held their hands out to each other, while Orihime tried to grasp his hand, it faded into the dust. In an extra drawing the author did, that moment signified they wanted to reach each other but were destined not to. It’s a tragic story and again, has a lot of subtext, but totally and utterly Reylo.
Here’s some videos of them:

Agneta and The Sea King, John Bauer
Getting some Reylo vibes from that story.
Another example of a creature of darkness or the Underground falling for a young maiden who lives in the light, and in this one, just like Hades, he comes up to the surface and kidnaps the girl while she’s picking flowers.
“"Just tell me who you are!“ Agneta repeated. “If I can help you, I will gladly do so, and if I cannot help you myself, perhaps my father can for he is a powerful man.” Then the stranger began to speak: “no, you. You alone can give me peace and happiness.“His voice was mild and gentle like a breeze rustling in the sails of a ship. And again he raised his arm in supplication. Agneta had never seen a more beautiful face. Heavy, wet locks framed his cheeks, his purple lips opened to a gentle smile. Most wondrous of all, though, were his eyes. Agneta had never thought eyes could express such sorrow and tenderness. They were like the depths of the sea, which had so often captivated her gaze – one moment dark and mysterious, the next filled with glistening sunlight. Agneta stepped on to the furthest stones at the edge of the water. "Tell me who you are” she demanded a third time. ”
“"Will you just leave me like that?“ called the sea king in a voice full of pain. "Shall I just return to my realm as lonely as ever? At least give me a keepsake to comfort me on my way. Give me the lime blossom you carry in your hand. As long as the scent lasts I shall believe you are close to me.” Agneta stretched out her hand with the lime blossom and said: “Gladly will I give you that. Here, take it.” The sea king reached out for the blossom and took hold of Agneta’s hand. Then he reached for her waist and lifted her up in his arms. She struggled and cried, but he dived down into the depths with her. At the same moment the sun set and soon the clouds paled and night fell. ”
Seriously, I would love to see some nice fanarts of Kylo as the Sea King, butt naked, with glorious locks falling down his back xD
Had to reblog this because I’m in the mood again, damn gods, fearies and elves, always horny for human girls.
BTW he makes her forget her human life and she agrees to marry him but the story ends with Agneta returning home after 7 years (during which she birthed 7 children, ffs) because she get’s her memories back and misses her father.

QUO VADIS by Henryk Sienkiewicz
Rome during the reign of Nero was a glorious place for the emperor and his court; there were grand feasts, tournaments for poets, and exciting games and circuses filling the days and nights. The pageantry and pretentious displays of excess were sufficient to cloy the senses of participants as well as to offend the sensitive. Petronius, a generous and noble Roman, a man of the world much in favor at the court of Nero, is intrigued by a strange tale related by his nephew Marcus Vinitius of his encounter with a mysterious young woman called Ligia with whom Vinitius falls madly in love. Ligia, a captured King’s daughter and a one-time hostage of Rome, is now a foster child of a noble Roman household. She is also a Christian. The setting of the narrative was prepared with utmost care. Henryk Sienkiewicz visited the Roman settings many times and was thoroughly educated in the historical background. As an attempt to create the spirit of antiquity, the novel met with unanimous acclaim, which earned the Nobel Prize in literature for the author in 1905. As a vision of ancient Rome and early Christianity it has not yet been surpassed, almost a century later.

Reylo vibe recommendation by @ewa-jednak-chce-spac sees similarties between Quo Vadis and the reylo dynamic due to the fact that one of the main plots involves a romantic storyline between a violent young soldier from a noble family (Marcus Vinitius) and a young, innocent, christian woman(Ligia). Marcus is obsessed with the Ligia and kidnaps her and proceeds to get a redemption arc.

Kay Rasmus Nielsen – East of the Sun and West of the Moon
Wonderful Norwegian fairy tale with a strong REYLO VIBE.
It seems Kylo and Rey are married in Poland and have four kids.
Also remember Kylo supports vegetables, while Rey prefers fruits.
Polish Lidl gets it 😉 Thanks to @ewa-jednak-chce-spac for always recommending these
gems
to me.

Many thanks to @simple-log who pointed this out to me.
Unfortunately there´s no English translation (yet?). @simple-log thinks it´s available in Russian, Ukrainian and maybe Polish.
Here´s what I found on Goodreads:
RITUAL by Marina Dyachenko & Sergey Dyachenko
THE SCAR by
Marina Dyachenko & Sergey Dyachenko
Reaching far beyond sword and sorcery, The Scar is
a story of two people torn by disaster, their descent into despair, and
their reemergence through love and courage. Sergey and Marina Dyachenko
mix dramatic scenes with romance, action and wit, in a style both
direct and lyrical. Written with a sure artistic hand, The Scar is the story of a man driven by his own feverish demons to find redemption and the woman who just might save him.
Egert
is a brash, confident member of the elite guards and an egotistical
philanderer. But after he kills an innocent student in a duel, a
mysterious man known as “The Wanderer” challenges Egert and slashes his
face with his sword, leaving Egert with a scar that comes to symbolize
his cowardice. Unable to end his suffering by his own hand, Egert
embarks on an odyssey to undo the curse and the horrible damage he has
caused, which can only be repaired by a painful journey down a long and
harrowing path.
Plotted with the sureness of Robin Hobb and colored with the haunting and ominous imagination of Michael Moorcock, The Scar tells a story that cannot be forgotten.

Sci-fi space opera classic.
Capable and honorable woman and infamous warlord come to understand and love each other.
If I were to use a very short and over-simplifying descriptor it would probably be “Jane Austen in space”.😉
