It’s the original version where the princess throws the frog against the wall instead of kissing him before he turns back into a prince. And this makes all the difference to the meaning of the story. The frog behaved awfully to the princess. He was in dire need of an ass-kicking for his demanding and spoilt behaviour. Only then did he change (himself). Reylo vibes…..

But sure a compassionate kiss also makes sense.😉
