The rituals Baraqiel performed were an object of fascination for both
men and Angels alike. He brought to them the gift of tamed lightning.
Despite the widespread appreciation for the fruits of this work, few
volunteered to assist. Baraqiel was known not only for the power he
commanded, but also his lack of respect for it. His fall was the first
to prove that Watchers were not complete in their wisdom or their
immortality.
It’s been over two weeks since mankind failed to vote for “Persephone” as a name for one of Pluto’s moons – my way of coping with the disappointment was drawing Hades’ reaction, obviously.

鲛人/Jiaoren: The Chinese mermaid. In addition to their beautiful appearance, jiaoren are also outstanding craftspeople. According to “In Search of the Supernatural/搜神记”, a 4th-century compilation of legends about ghosts and spirits, jiaoren lived in the South Sea, spent their days weaving cloth, and if they cried, their tears would turn into pearls.
